Key documents:

Background:
Civil Society Organizations had been very active in the preparatory process leading up to the International Conference on Financing for Development and in the Conference itself which took place in Monterrey, Mexico in March 2002. They have continued to stay engaged, both globally and nationally, convening and participating in initiatives aimed at monitoring progress and holding governments accountable to the commitments made in Monterrey.

The Doha Civil Society Forum just prior to the Doha International Review Conference on Financing for Development will offer a unique opportunity for civil society organizations (CSOs) and NGOs to carry this engagement forward by preparing strategic policy interventions for their participation in the Round Tables, as well as a civil society address to the plenary of the Conference.
