Dear Friends of the DCF,
As we approach the Second Biennial Development Cooperation Forum (DCF) to be held on 29 and 30 June at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, we would like to inform you that all Permanent Missions to the United Nations have received the attached circular letter by H.E. Mr. Hamidon Ali, President of the Economic and Social Council.
As part of the ECOSOC High-level Segment (28 June – 2 July) the DCF is poised to bring together key players in development cooperation. We would like to encourage you to participate in the DCF as well as to promote the participation of other ministerial and high-level government representatives as well as relevant civil society organizations, Members of Parliament, and local governments from your country.
Please find below a few key documents that you may find useful in preparing for the event:
a) the advance unedited version of the Secretary-General's Report on the DCF;
b) the latest programme of the DCF;
c) a list of confirmed side events; and
d) a logistical note, with specific advice on registration for participants and a registration form, which we would encourage you to send to Ms. Margo Kemp (kemp@un.org) and Ms. Charmaine Williams-Carter (williams-carter@un.org), even if you receive your pass through your mission.
For more information on the DCF please visit: http://www.un.org/en/ecosoc/
We very much hope that you will be able to participate in the meetings of the DCF. We would greatly if you could let us know whether you will be attending.
With best regards
The DCF Team
