NGLS Report: ECOSOC Side Event on UN Economic Crisis Conference Follow-up

On 23 July, 2009 at Palais de Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, members of the Global Social Economy Group (GSEG) along with UN-NGLS, organized a side event during the General Segment of the Subtantive Session of the Economic and Social Council to discuss both the outcomes of the UN Conference on the Crisis and the strengthening of the Financing for Development process.

Panelists included Ambassador Lumumba (Chair of the G77) and Michael Clark (Office of the President of the General Assembly), as well as Gemma Adaba (International Trade Union Confederation), Bhumika Muchhala (Third World Network), Raquel Gonzalez (Workers Group at the ILO) and Eva Hanfstaengl (Erlassjahr). 

The Panels were moderated by Hamish Jenkins (NGLS) and Martin Tsounkeu (African Development Interchange Network).
