During the General Segment of the Substantive Session of the Economic and Social Council (27-30 July 2009), Member States adopted a resolution aimed at strengthening the role of the Financing for Development process at the United Stations.  Of note, by adopting the resolution, Member States have agreed to hold the annual ECOSOC meeting with the BWI's, WTO and UNCTAD prior to the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and IMF, as well as lengthen the duration of the meeting itself to two days.  To view the full text of the resolution pleasesee the attachment below.
